The Conventions of Thrillers: Plot Twists

Another typicality of a thriller films are Plot Twists. This is when there will be a dramatic change in the plot and if done effectively would not of been seen coming by the audience. The pain plot twist in the film Psycho is at the end when the audience discover that Norman is actually the one committing the murders and its not the character of Mother like they were led on to believe. Plot Twists can be highly effective in shaking viewers and removing them from their comfort zones by changing what they believe to be true.
